A downloadable game

Why not just use ready-made engines like Unity or Godot to make a game? For the same reason someone builds their own cabinet: because they can, and because the craft of it is fun.

It started as a pure feasibility experiment. But the first prototypes grew into something more. New graphical layers were added, along with sounds, music, and characters with increasingly complex and individual behaviors. Eventually, the “accident” happened: the technical test turned into a real game.

The result is called NextAge. It embodies the spirit of the real-time strategy games of my youth - heavily inspired by Age of Empires and WarCraft, paired with influences from Populous. The gameplay is deliberately kept close to that of a board game: tactical, straightforward, and with a shallow learning curve, so that it offers quick successes even to players with limited free time.
